During lockdown the Players carried on meeting through Zoom and read a play every Tuesday. They decided to record some plays written by local writers and here’s the third of our recordings, written by Radio Cumbria producer, Tara Vallente.  The Playhouse may be shut but we are still here.

The play deals with a food bank set up in the floods of 2015 in Keswick. The Drop is a picture by Alison Critchlow which features in the piece. It has been recorded by Jordan Summers of 1Five Events. The original music for the series was written and performed by Peter Moran. The Players are grateful to Create to Connect for their support.

Follow this link to see the first recording, the Number 47 Bus by Tash Binder, and this link for our second recording, Strangers in Paradise by Kevan France.

Hope you enjoy. If you’ve missed us, it’s your chance to catch up.
