Further to our new play reading social evenings this months will run on Oct 25th.  Everyone is welcome including non-members, and it will take place in the theatre bar, starting at 7.30pm.  Come along at any time during the evening and join in reading, just listen or maybe just chat about the play.

To continue the Tom Stoppard theme of this months Players production ‘Arcadia‘ the play reading will be another of Stoppard’s called ‘Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead’; an absurd comedy which focuses two minor characters from Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Most of the play takes place when the pair are “off stage” in Shakespeare’s play, and as such they have little idea what is going on with Hamlet. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern talk about philosophy, science and death, occasionally witnessing some parts of Hamlet, until eventually meeting their final Shakespearean fate.  We look forward to seeing you there.
