Penrith Players are putting together a small programme to take to Women’s Institutes or village halls. The programme will consist of scenes and playlets that do not require a licence and music. This means it will come at no costs to the hosts. The package should be ready to go out by October, so the group are inviting requests for any time after then.

Organising the group is Mike Head. He said: “The Players did this many years ago and it was successful; good fun for those performing and watching. We hope we can repeat this. Our musical arm, Plug and Play, are also
contributing performers. This is an opportunity for us to showcase what we can do and a great evening for anyone who wants us.”
